Clear Aligners
Clear aligner treatment allows you to transform your smile discreetly and comfortably with virtually invisible, removable braces.
32Co aligners are completely transparent and custom-made to gradually straighten your teeth without using any metal wires or brackets. Your aligners can discreetly correct several different orthodontic issues to give you a balanced, even smile in as little as three months.
The aligners look like clear, flexible retainers and are removable, so you can take them out when eating or brushing your teeth.
What does 32Co treatment involve?
At your first appointment, the dentist will take bite impressions of your teeth and send them to be 3D imaged. This is then used to transform your bite impressions into a custom-made series of clear and removable aligners.
You will receive several aligners to wear as part of your treatment plan, which will need to be worn at all times apart from when eating, drinking and brushing your teeth. Your dentist will monitor your treatment with regular checkups to ensure it is progressing as planned.
Your treatment ends when you have worn each set of aligners. To help keep your new straighter smile, you will wear retainers at night for six months, and then usually a few times a week as instructed by your dentist.
What are the benefits of clear aligners?
As the 32Co system doesn’t use wires or brackets like traditional braces, the clear aligners are virtually invisible, so it’s barely noticeable that you’re having your teeth straightened. The transparent aligners are flexible and custom-made made so ensure a comfortable fit. They’re also removable making it easy to brush your teeth and eat normally during treatment.
How much does this treatment cost?
The cost of 32Co treatment varies from case to case. Treatments start from around £1,500 and can go up to £5,000 depending on the type of aligners you need and the complexity of the issues with your teeth. Your dentist will explain the costs in full before beginning any treatment.
Is the treatment painful?
Clear aligner treatment isn’t painful, but when you first put your aligners in you can expect to feel some discomfort as you get used to wearing them. As you wear the trays more, they will feel more comfortable and natural.
Simply put, you can’t achieve a straighter smile without some level of discomfort. Teeth straightening gradually moves your teeth into a different position, which makes them temporarily more sensitive.
How long does 32Co treatment take?
The average treatment takes 12-18 months but varies depending on your individual needs. Treatment can take as little as three months in some cases. At your initial consultation, your dentist will be able to recommend which type of aligners are suitable for you and outline how long treatment will take.
