Dermal Fillers
The ageing process can lead to a loss of the volume in the skin as collagen starts to diminish. This can impact on the natural curves of the face, altering the definition of the features, as well as aiding the formation of lines and wrinkles. By adding dermal fillers to the affected areas of the face the skin can rediscover its youthful volume and hydration for a naturally rejuvenated look.
What are the benefits of having Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers can be administered to areas on the face, including the eyes, cheeks, around the mouth and lips, reducing the appearance of crow’s feet, nasolabial folds, marionette creases, lip lines, flattened cheeks and jowls. The volumising properties of the smooth, injectable gel can fill out lines and wrinkles for a more even surface to the skin and plump up other features to help recontour and balance the face.
How can Dermal Fillers enhance my appearance?
For subtle facial enhancement, or pausing the signs of ageing, dermal fillers can produce effective, natural looking results. As well as helping with signs of ageing, Dermal Fillers can also create fuller cheeks and lips, as well as straightening the nose and strengthening the jawline. Volume can also be added to ageing hands and the high concentration of Hyaluronic acid can help to restore lost moisture to the skin.
What will happen during my appointment?
We will invite you to attend a pre-treatment consultation where you will be able to discuss the problem areas and the results you are hoping to achieve. During the appointment we can answer any questions you may have and discuss the procedure with you in more detail. We can then book you in for your treatment. Dermal fillers take 30-60 minutes to administer.
How long do Dermal Fillers last?
Changes in your appearance will be noticeable straight away and should last for 9-12 months but this can depend on the person and the area of the face in which the fillers are administered.
Is the treatment safe?
All Dermal Fillers we use are FDA approved and are proven to produce safe and effective results. The procedure is carried out by our in house dental team who are all fully qualified medical professionals.
Does it hurt?
As dermal fillers are an injectable treatment it cause some slight discomfort. The option to have a numbing cream applied beforehand will be offered if you are concerned about possible pain.
What can I expect after the treatment?
It may feel a little tender for a few hours with a little redness, swelling and bruising, but any sensitivity should settle in 2-3 days and won’t interfere with day to day tasks.
